Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. Overview
Foldery is a browser extension that helps you organize your conversations on AI chat platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) into folders, with full-text search, semantic search, and other productivity features. Foldery is operated by Miguel Ibáñez Domingo, an independent developer based in Spain ("Foldery", "we", "us").
By installing or using the Foldery extension, or by purchasing a Foldery license, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Foldery.
2. The extension and licenses
Foldery is offered in two tiers:
- Free: includes core organization features at no cost, subject to the limits described in the extension and on our website.
- Pro: unlocks additional features. Pro is available as a one-time "Lifetime" purchase or as a recurring "Monthly" subscription.
A Pro purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Foldery's Pro features. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense Foldery or your license key.
3. Payment and billing
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for all Foldery purchases. Your payment details are handled by Lemon Squeezy and are never received or stored by Foldery. Lemon Squeezy's own terms apply to the payment transaction.
For Monthly subscriptions, you are billed in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing, and your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
For Lifetime purchases, you pay once and retain access to the Pro features included at the time of purchase, for as long as Foldery operates, subject to these Terms.
4. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. How Foldery works with third-party platforms
Foldery runs in your browser and reads your chat history from the AI platforms you are already logged into (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), using your existing browser session. Foldery is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other platform.
Because Foldery depends on platforms we do not control, those platforms may change at any time in ways that temporarily or permanently affect how Foldery works. We will make reasonable efforts to keep Foldery compatible, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted functionality on any third-party platform.
You remain responsible for your own accounts on those platforms and for complying with their respective terms of service.
6. Your data
Foldery is built local-first. Your folders and chat data are stored on your own device and are not transmitted to Foldery's servers. Our handling of data is described in full in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your own data, including keeping backups. Foldery provides an export feature for this purpose. We are not liable for any loss of locally stored data.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Foldery to break the law, to violate the terms of any third-party platform, to reverse-engineer or tamper with the licensing system, or to attempt to access Pro features without a valid license.
8. Disclaimers
Foldery is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that Foldery will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with any particular platform or browser version.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Foldery and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Foldery. Our total liability for any claim relating to Foldery will not exceed the amount you paid for your Foldery license in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability under mandatory consumer protection law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change. Material changes will also be communicated through the extension or its Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of Foldery after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in your country of residence are not affected by this clause.
